Mayor’s Monthly Mixer And Third Friday Concert Series This Friday

Join Mayor Phil Gordon on Friday, May 15 at Sonoma Casual Dining for the Mayor’s Monthly Mixer.
The mixer will be from 5:30 to 7:30pm followed by the Third Friday Concert Series across the street at the Civic Space Park at 7:30pm.

At long last, the founders of Lola Tapas and Lola Roastery have packed up their espresso beans and moved a few blocks west to open Lola Coffee. Monday was the grand opening, and it went over without a hitch, save for computer problems that killed the card reader machine.

Local Breeze To Open Downtown This Weekend

The official opening isn’t until Tuesday, May 12. But downtown Phoenix’s newest restaurant, Local Breeze, is hoping to get off to an under-the-radar start this weekend.

It’s the work of Sid Campbell, 47, who spent 12 years cooking at Pischke’s Paradise in Scottsdale. He left more than a decade ago to become what he calls “Mr. Mom.”
