It’s Friday night in downtown Phoenix. So, what is there to do?
That’s exactly what Tyson Crosbie wanted to find out when he started Phoenix Friday Nights (PFN), a weekly social gathering focused on community building in the downtown Phoenix area.

Get dressed up in black or white attire and come to the MonOrchid Arts Fete at the MonOrchid art space on Saturday, April 25 for a night of art, fashion and dancing.
Phoenix Art Museum Holds Train Tracks Quarter Finals
Launched as a grassroots channel for local musicians to display their talent, The Train Tracks is the most innovative outlet for live music to ever hit Phoenix. Once a week, Valley artists ranging from single performers to entire bands, rockers to opera singers, perform acoustically live on the Metro Light Rail. Their raw, uncut performances are posted to thetraintracks.org where the general public votes for their favorite.
Wine+Art=Win
Like wine? How about some art? When you put the two together, plus a dash of charitable goodness, you get the VinArte: The Art of Wine fundraiser, taking place this Saturday at the Phoenix Art Museum‘s Sculpture Garden.

On April 22, from 4-8 pm, the Arizona Small Business Association is hosting a fundraising and networking block party.
Free Movie Night At Civic Space This Friday
Head over to the new Civic Space Park on Friday, April 24 at 7:30pm for a free movie night featuring The Dark Night.
The event is sponsored by Arizona State University students and is part of a larger safety initiative to encourage positive use of the brand-new park. Arrive early and you won’t need to bring your own snacks because free popcorn will be available on a limited basis. The movie will end around 10:30pm.
Grand Opening Of Civic Space
Looks like the Civic Space is going to be a success, as hundreds of students, residents and curious visitors stopped by to celebrate the grand opening on April 16. There were giveaways, contests and a concert for the lucky attendees. See below for images.
First “Third Friday Concert Series” at Civic Space this Friday
Come celebrate Phoenix’s first “Third Friday Concert Series” on Friday, April 17 at the new Downtown Civic Space park. The free concert will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will feature Turn Back, O Man and The Matthew Reveles Band.
Celebrate Civic Space’s Grand Opening Thursday
Join your neighbors from downtown Phoenix at the grand opening of the new Civic Space Park on Thursday, April 16.
A community cookout hosted by the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department begins at 11am, followed by the official opening ceremonies at 3pm. The celebration will end with a lighting of Janet Echelman’s “Her Secret is Patience” sculpture at 7:30pm. The full agenda of the events will be available at the park, printed on a limited supply of reusable souvenir shopping bags.
