The Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown invites you to grab a drink and take in a new perspective of our city from the hotel’s rooftop sun deck. Located on the 13th floor, this hideaway in the sky, known as Floor 13, is open to the public every Friday evening beginning at 6 p.m.
Upon arrival, you’ll find a bar, plenty of comfy seats, couches and loungers, and a breathtaking view of downtown Phoenix. On First Fridays, you’ll also have live music to accompany the stunning scenery. Though the deck is open to hotel guests at any time, it will only be open to the public on Friday nights through May.
The Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown is located in the historic Professional Building (15 E. Monroe St.,) a 1932 structure that once housed Valley National Bank and the Maricopa County Medical Society. With its restored art-deco interior featuring many of its original finishes, including the marble floor, elevator doors and more, walking through the lobby (formerly a bank) is like stepping into a former (and very stylish) era of downtown Phoenix. Adding to its historical importance, the building also makes a cameo in the opening scene of the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock film “Psycho.”
So be sure to stop by Floor 13 on a Friday night to drink in the view, the history and of course a delicious cocktail.
Floor 13 is also available for private rentals. Contact Event Sales Manager Kimberli Gunn at kgunn@csmcorp.net for more information.
