CO+HOOTS PARTNERS WITH BALLARD SPAHR, LLP TO PROVIDE FREE LEGAL CONSULTATION TO MEMBERS

Phoenix entrepreneur hub collaborates with national law firm on commitment to helping local entrepreneurial community.

CO+HOOTS, central Phoenix’s first and largest coworking community and entrepreneurial collaboration hub, has sealed a partnership with national law firm Ballard Spahr’s Phoenix office. A Ballard Spahr attorney will provide free monthly 1-on-1 legal consultation to CO+HOOTS members and free educational presentations focused on different legal topics related to business and technology. This is the first known partnership in the country between a coworking space and a law firm.

“CO+HOOTS’ goal is to continue to be the safest place for entrepreneurs to start, scale and find success,” CO+HOOTS Founder Jenny Poon said. “With this exciting partnership with Ballard Spahr, CO+HOOTS is adding even more important resources that our individual members and member companies can take advantage of. Having access to free legal consultation and knowledge from a premier law firm is a game changer for businesses no matter what stage they’re currently in.”

A Ballard Spahr attorney will consult with CO+HOOTS members on a variety of legal topics such as trademarks, noncompete agreements, independent contractor agreements and intellectual property. The Ballard Spahr & CO+HOOTS partnership highlights the two companies’ commitment to helping Phoenix’s entrepreneurial community.
