Want a reason to avoid hair-raising traffic and win a contest at the same time? The Fourth of July is the date to save.
Friends of Transit wants to see how you use transit systems! Take the light rail or bus to your Fourth of July destination and have a chance to win a $100 Mill Avenue District gift card or other prizes!
You could ride the light rail to Steele Indian School Park for Fabulous Fourth or stop at Mill Avenue for the Tempe Town Lake, bike to the Chandler Fireworks Spectacular or bus to the All-American Festival in Peoria. As long as you don’t use your wheels or a friend’s, you’re free to participate in the contest!
To enter, send an e-mail to contest@friendsoftransit.org telling them how you’re going to use transit to arrive at your Fourth of July destination along with:
- Your starting point (major cross streets)
- Route(s) you’ll be using
- Your final destination
- Your name, email address and phone number
Entries are accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 5.
