New local currency unveiled first Friday 8/8 on Grand Avenue
Local currency coins to be presented to public first Friday during self-guided art walk. The coins are good for free items or discounts on local purchases. They will be used in lieu of the raffle tickets for the free clothes swap in ShopDevious beginning 8/15.
The purple Devious coin is valid for (1) free $5 wall item or (1) free swap item or $2 off any regular priced merchandise. Devious coins are available with your change during the first Friday Art Walk. Ask for $1 of your change to be a devious coin; Limit one per person/transaction. Devious coins can be redeemed anytime, limit one coin per item in the boutique.
ShopDevious is an Upscale Resale Boutique, Beauty Supplies Shop & Internet café. Vintage, Name Brands and over stock clothes, shoes, jewelry and purses are average $15 or less everyday. Having been online with DeviousWigs.com since 2001, they opened their doors in 2007 on Grand as a green boutique. They are the ‘08 winners of “Best of the Valley” by New Times, and “Best Of” by Phoenix Magazine. They are monthly host to a free clothes swap (every 3rd Saturday at 2pm) as seen on FOX 10 and creators of the “Bag Lady” program, encouraging recycling by accepting recycled store bags for discounts on daily purchases.
