Sizzlin’ Summer Saturdays At Heard Museum

From exciting music and dance performances to an extravaganza of hands-on activities, artist demonstrations and free souvenirs, Target Free Sizzlin’ Summer Saturdays gives kids and families a cool and creative way to spend July Saturdays at the Heard Museum. Even mom, dad, grandpa and grandma can explore the museum and enjoy the activities for free as well, thanks to support from Target.
The Sizzlin’ Summer Saturdays will begin on Saturday, July 11 and run through Saturday, August 1. The fun starts at 10:30am and ends at 4pm.

Two Museums For Price Of One This Weekend

The Phoenix Art Museum and Heard Museum have joined for the second year to celebrate International Museum Day with an offer that gives visitors two museums for the price of one.
On Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, visitors can purchase admission at either museum and take their same-day receipt to the other museum for free admission.

Free Movie Night At Civic Space This Friday

Head over to the new Civic Space Park on Friday, April 24 at 7:30pm for a free movie night featuring The Dark Night.

The event is sponsored by Arizona State University students and is part of a larger safety initiative to encourage positive use of the brand-new park. Arrive early and you won’t need to bring your own snacks because free popcorn will be available on a limited basis. The movie will end around 10:30pm.

Star Trek: The Exhibition enters final weeks

Star Trek: The Exhibition is entering its final weeks after being open for six months at the Arizona Science Center. The exhibit includes authentic props and costumes from the television series and the movies, a replica of the U.S.S. Enterprise D-Bridge where visitors can sit in the captain’s chair, and a motion simulator where they will voyage through a battlefield. Visitors will also learn about Star Trek’s history, dating back 40 years. The exhibit is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will leave the Science Center on May 3.
