The award-winning Melrose on 7th Avenue Street Fair returns this Saturday, March 4 for its 15th year. Welcoming thousands of community enthusiasts to experience the Melrose Curve, this annual event keeps true to the spirit of central Phoenix by celebrating local art, businesses, music, and more!
So, what can you expect? Look for over 200 booths of local artists, indie crafts and and more. While you walk around, enjoy local food vendors and trucks and enjoy the beer garden at the Melrose Patio featuring Hensley Craft Beer and Mexican Moonshine Margaritas.
After treating your taste buds, stop by the main stage to enjoy live music and maybe even some dancing in the streets. Entertainment includes performances from Phoenix Men’s Chorus, Darkness Dear Boy, and Pearl Ridge as well as dancing the samba and heatwave line dances. The event is perfect for all ages including children who can enjoy the kids’ area featuring rides and crafts.
Also taking place throughout this event is the Chester’s Classic Car Show from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The car show will feature over 200 classic, antique, and vintage cars, trucks, and hotrods. Winners will be selected in the afternoon and will receive trophies for Best in Class and Chester’s People’s Choice Award.
The event is free thanks to the event organizers, Seventh Avenue Merchants Association. SAMA is comprised of members of the downtown community that provide leadership and guidance to associations looking to improve their neighborhoods. SAMA represents community involvement and cooperation and works hard to make Phoenix a better place.
