Central Phoenix will be bursting with holiday celebrations throughout the month, and this weekend, a few of those festive events will be taking place in the Uptown District. From shopping to crafting to toasting the season and more, here’s a sampling of the holiday fun you’ll find in the area.
Crafeteria at Frances
What: Frances Vintage will host their annual Crafeteria indie craft festival, featuring 40 of the state’s top creators of handmade goods. Perfect for holiday shopping!
When: Friday, December 2 from 6-10 p.m.
Where: Medlock Plaza parking lot (home of Frances, Stinkweeds and other beloved shops,) located at the northwest corner of Central and Camelback.

World Bazaar & Phoenix Community Market
What: Shopping, food and fun that celebrates the rich culture of Phoenix. Find a global selection of fashions, crafts, cuisine and more, presented by Local First Arizona, International Rescue Committee in Phoenix, Valley Metro and City of Phoenix.
When: Saturday, December 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: 19th Avenue & Camelback Light Rail Station (Take the light rail and show your pass for special prizes!)

30th Annual APS Electric Light Parade
What: For the past 30 years, this Phoenix tradition has spread holiday joy with a procession of colorfully lit floats winding their way through the city streets.
When: Saturday, December 3 at 7 p.m.
Where: Parade begins at Central & Montebello Ave and ends at 7th St. & Indian School Rd.

Phoenix Ale Brewery Phoestivus Ale Launch & Ugly Sweater Contest
What: Phoenix Ale Brewery will release their winter seasonal, Phoestivus Ale, which is a brown ale with cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, beginning this Friday. To celebrate, PAB’s Central Kitchen restaurant will host a weekend-long ugly sweater contest. Just wear your sweater to the restaurant, take a photo and tag @centralkitchenaz on Instagram or Facebook to be entered into the contest.
When: December 2-4, restaurant hours are Friday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m.-11 p.m.; Sunday: 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
