On Friday, September 9, the Herberger Young Leadership Board will host a fundraiser in support of the Herberger Theater Center’s education and outreach programs. The 2nd Annual “Stand Up for Downtown Theater” event will take place at Herberger Theater’s Stage West beginning at 7 p.m. and will include a silent auction, dinner and a stand up comedy show featuring some of the area’s best comedians.
Attendees are also invited to the after-party at The Duce, where they will receive discounted drinks. Please note this fundraiser is 18+, due to content of stand-up comedy routines.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Herberger’s Wolf Trap program and Theater Camp.
The Wolf Trap program is a collaboration with Center Dance Ensemble that encourages Head Start and preschool students to build confidence and self-esteem through creativity and self-expression.
Theater Camp is a collaboration with Free Arts for Abused Children that provides an opportunity for homeless, abused and neglected teens in Maricopa County to experience the arts through a two-week theater camp.
