The Phoenix chapter of Aging 2.0, an innovation platform focused on older adults, will hold their first ever startup search and pitch event on Wednesday, June 15 at SEED SPOT in Midtown.
Aging 2.0 is a San Francisco-based organization that seeks to accelerate innovation that improves the lives of older adults by connecting, educating and supporting innovators through community building, events and programming.
According to Phoenix chapter member, Kendall Hill, “Phoenix is a city of innovation and preferred destination for individuals enjoying the second season of life. We are in the perfect place for new ventures that are innovating in aging.”
At Wednesday’s event, six local and regional startups will pitch and the winner will go on to compete in San Francisco at Aging 2.0’s OPTIMIZE conference. The winning entrepreneur will be awarded a cash prize, mentorship and an international spotlight. The free event is sponsored by AARP Arizona and includes food and drinks.
