CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR GRAND AVENUE ARTS FEST
The free Grand Avenue Festival is scheduled for November 14 from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., with after hours festivities from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. It is an exciting, non-traditional walking festival celebrating the unique history of Historic Grand Avenue. Art, exhibits, tours, performances, fashion shows, music, outdoor installations, pedi-cabs, food trucks and an art parade provide the context for celebrating this unique area’s vintage neighborhoods, independent small businesses, diverse residential community, artspaces and art studios.
The festival is produced by Grand Avenue Arts & Preservation (GAP) in conjunction with the popular Phoenix Annual Parade of the Arts (PAPA). The public is encouraged to actively participate in the day’s activities via three arts-related events: the Untrashed Recycled Rubbish Fashion Show, the Phoenix Annual Parade of the Arts and the Hanging Gardens and Woven Fences. Further inquiries can be made to:grandavefest2015@gmail.com.
