Uptown Farmers Market to Offer Customers an Outlet for Organic, Fresh Foods TWO Mornings Every Week: Saturdays and Wednesdays
Beginning Wednesday February 4, Uptown Farmers Market will launch the Uptown Wednesday Market, featuring the iconic McClendon’s Select Farm and Noble Bread, along with 50 local food vendors and gourmet breakfast, lunch and coffee.
“We have been at Town & Country on Wednesdays for over a decade and are immensely grateful to the incredible staff and owners”, said Bob McClendon of McClendon’s Select. “However, this new location will offer much better parking and access for customers, and also offers plenty of space for us to continue to grow.”
The new Uptown Wednesday Market will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday, October through June on the southeast corner of Central Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix. The market is located on the North side of the 40-acre North Phoenix Baptist Church property, and includes expansive parking for customers.
“Uptown Wednesday will be different from our Saturday market”, said Bo Mostow, Market Manager. ” Uptown Saturday is intended to be a very kid-friendly, weekend gathering. In contrast, my hope is that Uptown Wednesday will be more of an adult culinary & grocery experience, with lots of chef input, seasonal demos, and a stellar line of local restaurant and food truck fare.”
Uptown Farmers Market is a food-based farmers market and gathering place dedicated to inspiring and educating home cooks through Arizona local produce, handmade foods and handcrafted goods.
