Looking for a riding lawn mower, garbage truck, school bus or fire truck?

You can purchase any of these items if you are the highest bidder at the city of Phoenix Surplus Public Auction at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at the city’s auction yard, 2820 S. 22nd Ave. (south of Lower Buckeye Road).

In addition to these items, 42 cars, 30 pickups, 20 motorcycles, 10 utility trucks, 11 vans, six dump trucks, four trailers, two SUV’s, five carts, five sweepers, two flatbed trucks, four backhoes, tow truck, forklift, tanker, generator, appliances, building materials, chairs, desks, scrap wire and much more will be sold.

Gates open to the public at 6:30 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. The auction starts at 8 a.m. The cashier will remain open until 1:30 p.m. the day of the auction. Items to be sold may be inspected at the auction yard from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 14, and Friday, May 15.
