The Arizona Diamondbacks will officially launch their 2009 All-Star Game balloting campaign tonight prior to the 6:40pm game versus the Chicago Cubs.

Dubbed “Snake, Rattle and Vote,” fans can cast their vote for any of the eight D-backs players on the ballot during the next 25 home games until June 25. The team will once again encourage fans to visit the “All-Star Game Ballot Headquarters” behind the Picnic Pavilion on the main concourse in left field to be eligible for great prizes.

All fans who turn in 100 completed ballots at the “All-Star Game Ballot Headquarters” will receive a coupon good for 15 percent off purchases at the Team Shop and one raffle ticket. All raffle tickets will be eligible to win prizes, including autographed D-backs jerseys, bats and balls and team experiences such as throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.

In addition, the five individuals who turn in the most ballots will receive an “All-Star Game Package,” which includes an autographed 2009 National League All-Star Game jersey, a D-backs hat with the All-Star Game logo and an All-Star Game program.

Fans are also encouraged to vote online at dbacks.com until July 3. Fans that select the D-backs as their favorite team will automatically be entered to win four tickets to the team’s final regular season home game on Sept. 27 versus the San Diego Padres as well as a Brandon Webb autographed baseball.

Last year, the D-backs were awarded first place by Major League Baseball for the team’s in-stadium All-Star Game balloting campaign.

The 80th Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be held on July 14 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The game will be televised nationally on FOX, with pregame ceremonies beginning at 5 pm (Arizona time). ESPN Radio will provide exclusive national radio coverage on Sports 620 KTAR, while MLB.com will provide extensive online coverage.
