On Wednesday night, the Phoenix City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a Lease Agreement with the Suns and the Diamondbacks for the Jefferson Street parking garage. The $20 million deal would allow the City to pay off the debt they owe to CityScape and would pave the way for the Suns and Diamondbacks to start negotiating with the Jackson Street Entertainment boys who want to develop Retail and Housing adjacent to the south side of the Parking Garage.
