9th Annual Mutant Piñata Show is Looking for Weird & Wacky Entries
The 9th Annual Mutant Piñata Show will take place the month of March, including during the Art Detour weekend, at Chartreuse Gallery, 1301 Grand Avenue, in the historic Bragg’s Pie Factory building. The exhibit consists of over 100 unique, handmade pinatas each year. Submissions are accepted from the community regardless of age or skill level and all submissions will be included as long as they meet the basic criteria. Pinatas can be created from any materials, whether traditional or non-traditional, and can either hang or sit on the floor. Piñata creations need to be delivered to Chartreuse Gallery, March 1st from 10am – Noon. Rope for hanging and name tags will be provided by the venue.
The exhibit will be open to the public during the Grand Avenue Artwalk and First Friday event beginning March 4th from 6 – 11pm; during the Third Friday March 18th from 6 – 11pm; and during Art Detour Weekend March 19 – 20th from 11am – 5pm.
