Rise of the Rest, a national startup tour launched by America Online co-founder Steve Case and his organization, Revolution, will stop in downtown Phoenix on Friday, October 7. The event will take place at The Duce and will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and government and business leaders for discussions, a pitch competition and networking.
Out of 80 nominated cities, Phoenix was chosen along with Omaha/Lincoln, Denver, Salt Lake City/Provo and Albuquerque. All are considered cities that are “leading the charge in the new era of technological revitalization.”
“This opportunity is the result of our hard work and a groundswell of support from our local entrepreneurs,” said Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton. “The Rise of the Rest tour coming to Phoenix is a true testament to the progress of our ecosystem, and I’m confident Steve and his team will be excited to see the incredible talent and potential we have in our community.”
The event is free, but space is limited, so be sure to RSVP here.
