Join your neighbors from downtown Phoenix at the grand opening of the new Civic Space Park on Thursday, April 16.
A community cookout hosted by the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department begins at 11am followed by the official opening ceremonies at 3pm. The celebration will end with a lighting of Janet Echelman’s “Her Secret is Patience” sculpture at 7:30pm. The full agenda of the events will be available at the park, printed on a limited supply of reusable souvenir shopping bags.
The park is located between Central and First Avenues, and Van Buren and Fillmore Streets. The nearest light rail station is at Van Buren St and Central Ave, and metered street parking is available.
Come celebrate the first “Third Friday Concert Series” at the park this Friday.
