I'm an Arizona native with Minnesota roots. I was brainwashed at an early age to follow Minnesota sports teams - which I still follow to this day. Of course I also love my Arizona teams equally. As a kid I never understood the state rivalry between ASU and UofA. Then I attended and graduated from ASU and the rivalry became much clearer. Every day I become more of an Arizona State Sundevil and couldn't be happier. Phoenix is an interesting sports town because the majority of fans also have allegiances in other cities and states - just like myself. With the exception of the Suns, our professional sports teams are relatively new, so they don't have the luxury of a deep-rooted fan base like the more established franchises. I cherish the opportunity to share my insight and passion for sports to hopefully contribute to the growth and popularity of our hometown teams. Win or lose we need to support our teams. Of course it's more fun to win.
