James Deak is an Indiana native and Notre Dame football fan who moved to Arizona about six years ago. He fell in love with Arizona on his first visit and decided to make it home. He has become an ASU Sun Devil fan as well. His creative personality which developed as early as childhood, is expressed in many ways, including through drawing and photography. Most of his photographic work is on Instagram: @jamesdphoenix. James is also an expert movie buff, he specializes in reciting movie quotes. He also is a proud owner of an energetic German Shepherd named Ava, who accompanies him along with his girlfriend to his many photo shoots and hiking shenanigans. His favorite place to escape to is amid the red rocks of Sedona. When he is not at work, he is avidly trying to find ways to discover more of what Arizona has to offer, trying to capture his views through the lens.
