Stratta’s award-studded career includes the three-time recognition with a two-star rating by the Michelin Guide (for his namesake restaurant ALEX in Las Vegas), Best Chef Southwest James Beard Award, countless AAA Five Diamond Awards, a finalist on Top Chef Masters, Italian Iron Chef on Iron Chef America, Food and Wine Magazine’sBest New Chef among many other accolades.
Stratta has led the kitchen of incredible restaurants around the globe including: Mary Elaine’s in Phoenix, ALEX and Stratta restaurants inside the WYNN Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and Prado at the Omni Montelucia Resort in Scottsdale. In addition, Stratta worked under renowned chefs Alain Ducasse at Louis XV at the Hotel de Paris in Monaco, and at Le Cirque under Daniel Boulud.
First on his to-do list at MATCH, Stratta will revamp the menu at the wood-fired, locally focused restaurant.
“We are testing new recipes and seeking the perfect balance of flavor and relatable dishes that suit the tastes of our local residents and out-of-town guests,” said Stratta. “The wood fired oven and grill will continue to take center stage as we evolve our menu.”
Stratta’s new menu will debut this September, in the meantime he and an impressive culinary team will continue to create crave-worthy yet simple menu items with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients presented in an artful and familiar way.
