From April 28-30 at 7:30 p.m., Scorpius Dance Theatre will present L.O.V.E, a brand new show choreographed by Scorpius’ Director, Lisa Starry, with live original music by Kristofer Hill. L.O.V.E is a series of short stories portraying the various types of relationships and stages of love that impact our lives. Told through dance, film and live music, this unique production will take audiences on a journey of emotions while exploring one common theme: love is everything.

According to Starry, “L.O.V.E is inspired by experiences in my life. While the stories are personal to me, I believe they are very relatable. The dancers have become really emotionally connected to these stories, and my hope is the audience will feel the same way.”

In L.O.V.E, Starry explores a variety of relationship dynamics and stages of love, which range from serious to lighthearted and oftentimes humorous scenarios. As can be expected, the various points in romantic relationship are portrayed, including young love, wedding jitters, marriage, and even overwhelming, smothering love. In addition, Starry expresses other personal dynamics, including sibling rivalry, motherly love, finding forgiveness, loss of someone close, and a lack of confidence in oneself.

As well as providing vocals, he will play a variety of instruments, including guitar, drums, keyboard and a baby grand piano. Starry and Hill have a long history working together. His original soundtracks have been featured in previous Scorpius shows, including A Vampire Tale and David & Lisa
