“It’s going to be a hot night on Grand”, with a variety a works on exhibit at Chartreuse Gallery from native artist Chip Thomas tonight from 6-10pm. Thomas heads up the Painted Desert Project and the JustSeeds Artists’ Collective which is responsible for a variety of murals from Grand Avenue, all the way to the Navajo Nation. Chartreuse is located at 1301 Grand Ave.

Practical Arts Holiday Extravaganza
“This is the place to be this Friday.” Come by Practical Art from 6-10 p.m., located at Central and Camelback, for a huge selection of artwork and crafts, as well as live entertainment, holiday refreshments, robot ornament building, live art, the new PAZ food truck and Crafeteria! Lighthouse
In the spirit of the holidays, or just because it’s totally awesome, the Alwun House presents its annual light inspired exhibition featuring 25 local artists working with mixed media and neon. Truly an enlightening exhibit, free from noon to 6 p.m. with ticketed performances by Afrobeat Orchestra accompanying the exhibit from 6-10 p.m. Located at 1204 E. Roosevelt.

Celebrity
Shade Projects is proud to present its end of year invitational show featuring several local artists exploring the concept of “celebrity’ and how it is perceived through the lens of society. This show is sure to hit the top of the charts with its all star cast depicted through a diverse collection of media and perspective. Doors from 6-11 p.m., located at 3rd Street and Roosevelt.

Icelandia
As Phoenicians that bundle up as soon as it’s below 90 degrees, we can certainly relate to this exhibit which features 12 local artists working with the concept of ice in the desert which are depicted through a variety of media. Curated by Travis Fields from 6-10pm, located at Lotus Contemporary Art Gallery, 511 E. Roosevelt.
