The grand opening of CityScape is shaping up to be a weekend-long festival of food, fashion and music.

National recording artist Macy Gray and – just announced – Third Eye Blind headline the weekend’s festivities.

WHAT: CityScape, a new mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Phoenix featuring office, retail, a hotel, and a redesigned Patriots Square.
WHEN: Thursday November 4th through Sunday, November 7th.
WHERE: CityScape, Downtown Phoenix (between Jefferson St and Washington St, from 1st Ave east to 1st St)

Thursday, Nov 4
5 – 7 p.m. – City of Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon’s annual State of Downtown Event, with a special performance by the Phoenix Symphony and “Taste of Downtown” reception.

Friday, Nov 5
8 – 10 a.m. – “The World’s Largest Coffee Break” presented by CityScape tenants.
10 a.m. – Patriots Square Dedication with City of Phoenix Vice Mayor Michael Nowakowski
11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – A Taste of CityScape featuring food and beverage samplings from CityScape tenants
4:30 – 6:30 p.m. – First Friday & Phoenix Suns Pregame Happy Hour featuring live music performed by The Walkens
9:30 – 11 p.m. – National recording artist Macy Gray LIVE in Concert, free to the public

Saturday, Nov. 6
10 a.m. – Yoga and Spin classes in the Park, presented by Gold’s Gym.
11 a.m. – 9 p.m. – CityScape Downtown Festival.

• Fashion shows featuring CityScape tenants

9:30 p.m. – National recording artist Third Eye Blind LIVE in Concert, free to the public

Sunday, Nov 7
Noon – 5 p.m. – Neighborhood/Community Picnic and Cookout, presented by LGO Public House.
All-day family event featuring live local music throughout the day as well as an outdoor grilling station, special offers from CityScape tenants and balloon artists and face painters for kids. The first 250 people to arrive will receive a FREE CityScape lawn chair.

PARKING: Free parking is available at CityScape on Friday and Saturday until 4 p.m. and all day Sunday. (Standard rates apply on Friday and after 4 p.m. on Saturday.) The public is encouraged to ride the METRO Light Rail — Central/Washington station westbound or 1st Ave./Jefferson station eastbound.

Make a night of it

Shopping: Urban Outfitters, West of SoHo, Designer District and workbench are now open at CityScape.

Eats and Drinks: $4 beer and $6 cocktails are available along Central Avenue all night long, and Vitamin T is giving visitors a taste of what to expect when it opens on 1st Street next week. Grab a burger at Five Guys Burgers and Fries or sit down for a game and dinner at Lucky Strike, or try some of these places right around the corner from CityScape: ICON Lounge (50 W. Adams St. in the Wyndham Hotel), Hanny’s (40 N. 1st St.), Seamus McCaffrey’s (18 W. Monroe St.) or Ghost Lounge (202 N. Central Ave. in Hotel San Carlos).
